For a transparent product icon, select white before conversion. For a dark presentation, select the intended background and inspect edge contrast.

Why do I need a background color?
JPEG cannot store transparency. Empty areas must become a solid color in the output.
Can I preserve a transparent logo?
Keep PNG or WebP for that job. This tool intentionally exports an opaque JPEG.
Can the image look different?
Yes. JPEG compression and background blending can change edges and fine text. Review the output.
